Kunsthal KAdE presents the exhibition ‘Abrasive Paradise’, in which twelve contemporary artists are invited to reflect on the utopian ideal of a constructible world, within a world that turns out to be anything but malleable. Tanja Smeets is one of the artists who is allowed to fill an entire space in the museum with her new work. “I create a kind of paradise in decline. It looks beautiful and refined, but in the meantime something else is going on. That triggers me.”
