A plane that was supposed to take off from Antalya in Turkey to Arlanda in Sweden received media attention during Sunday morning. Before the plane had time to take off, it was stopped.
According to TV4 Nyheternas sources, the plane was stopped from taking off after one of the passengers made a bomb threat. The person was taken off the plane and all luggage must have been searched. “The situation was determined to be a false alarm and no further measures needed to be taken,” writes the airline Pegasus in an email to TV4 Nyheterna.
The police agency in Antalya tells TV4 Nyheterna that it is true that the aircraft was evacuated and that all luggage was searched, but that no bomb was found. TV4 Nyheterna has searched the airport in Antalya, which announces that they cannot provide any comment.
The plane, which was supposed to depart at 7:30 a.m., took off at 1 p.m.
