(Finance) – It is procedure started which will ensure the northwest of the Sardinia air connections at discounted rates with Rome and Milan. At the end of the technical summit between the Region, Enac and the Ministry of Transport, the councilor Antonio Moro confirmed the start of the process which should be completed quickly which will consist in inviting some companies to operate the routes facilitated by the Alghero airport .
“To allocate routes in territorial continuity from and to Alghero – he clarified – we are moving towards a rapid procedure which guarantees the continuation of the public service obligations, without therefore the interruption of air connections, ensuring maximum transparency”.
The path chosen by the Region recorded the sharing of Enac and Ministry and through the Italian representation in Brussels it will be communicated to the European Commission. With regard to the Cagliari and Olbia routes, instead, the councilor announced that the technical and administrative checks on the winning carriers (Ita and AeroItalia) are about to be concluded, then “the sale of tickets will be immediately authorized, with the burden of possible re-routing, without therefore waiting for next January 31st, the deadline for the definitive awarding of the four routes”, concluded Moro.
