A group of 150 supporters of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG gathered at Luxembourg Square in front of the AP at 12:00 local time. The group chanted anti-Turkey slogans with pieces of cloth symbolizing the organization and posters of leader Öcalan, and after a while, they became violent.

The group dismantled the barricades surrounding the square and threw them at the police. The police responded with tear gas to the supporters of the terrorist organization, who also attacked them with chairs and stones.

In a short time, it was seen that more people participated in the outburst. Security measures were increased, riot response teams and TOMAs closed the entrances to the square. The crowd continued to chant slogans for a while and ended the protest around 13.30.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Yesterday, PKK supporters returning from the so-called celebrations related to Nevruz in the city of Heusden-Zolder, about an hour away from Brussels, passed through the street where citizens of Turkish origin mostly live, carrying pieces of cloth symbolizing the terrorist organization PKK and posters of leader Abdullah Öcalan in their cars.

Citizens of Turkish origin living in the city reacted to this, and then a brawl broke out. The events were brought under control late at night. This content was published by Metin Yamaner
