The new original Pixar studios project is a series to see in streaming, which aims to seduce the whole family.
The reputation of Pixar productions is no longer to be demonstrated. Toy Story, up there, the world of Nemo, Coco, the indestructibles, Vice versa And more recently its suite (bigger success at the world box office in 2024 with 1.69 billion dollars in revenue) remained in the imagination of young and old. This week, the famous animation studio offers for the first time an original series to see in streaming.
In this program in 8 Episodes of about twenty minutes each, Pixar immerses us behind the scenes of a mixed softball team in college, the pickles. In a week, they play a championship match. Each episodes allows you to discover the point of view of one of the characters, whether it is a player, a referee, or a parent. This series is called Won or lost.

This new program therefore promises to offer life and animation lessons, as the studio has used us. However, even before its release, Won or lost was controversial. In December 2024, we learned by the Hollywood Reporter that one of the episodes of the series would have been censored before its broadcast: the studios deleted the mention of gender identity of a transgender character, as well as all his dialogues.
“When it comes to animation content for a young audience, we believe that it is up to parents to approach certain subjects with their children, in their own terms and at the time of their choice”, reacted a representative of the Disney group. Not enough for some, however, which reproached this backbid and this censorship to the studio.
The broadcast has been shifted several times, but the release date is finally fixed. It is from Wednesday February 19, 2025 that fans of the Pixar studios will be able to discover Won or lost. Obviously, it is in streaming that you will have to go to discover this new animation program. The series is put online on Disney+, like the rest of the Pixar productions.
