He is in the second season of a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the Penguins.

Puljujärvi, selected as the fourth player in the 2016 NHL draft, has represented the Edmonton Oilers and Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL before the Penguins.

In his career, he has collected 57+69 performances in 377 matches.
