Developed with technologies from Cinturato, the new Pirelli Scorpion series responds to different infrastructure qualities.
Pirelli introduced the new Scorpion tire series developed specifically for SUVs, which is predicted to be the world’s most popular vehicle segment. The new series represents a complete renewal of the family, which has specialized in the SUV market for more than 35 years, with ‘tailor made’ tires for premium models and seasonal tires. The new Scorpion stands out for being specifically developed to respond to the key features of modern SUVs, such as greater weight, a high center of gravity and unique mechanics and driving dynamics. It is also noteworthy that many technological innovations presented with the new Cinturato series are carried to the SUV world with adaptation and technologies here. The new generation tire line that has been launched can better adapt to the performance of today’s vehicles, including electrified versions with the most modern technologies available.
Pirelli Scorpion will be the most adaptive series in the range
The Scorpion series also stands out as the series with the largest number of homologations for electric or plug-in hybrid cars in the entire Pirelli portfolio. These tires, which also offer solutions for electric vehicles, will differentiate with the ‘Elect’ mark on their sidewalls. Optional options are among the advanced technologies offered by Pirelli with its latest tire range. Pirelli Noise Canceling System helps reduce road noise perceived inside the vehicle, and Run Flat and Seal Inside help drivers keep going even if the tire is punctured.
