Camfin board renews authorization to purchase 5 Pirelli shares

(Finance) – For the sixth consecutive year Pirelli has been confirmed among the global leaders in the fight against climate change by obtaining a place in the Climate A list 2023 drawn up by CDPthe international non-profit organization that collects, disseminates and promotes information on environmental issues.

The “A” rating is the maximum score obtainable in the Climate section and was attributed to only 346 companies among the over 21,000 participants, evaluated based on the decarbonization strategy, the effectiveness of the efforts implemented to reduce emissions and climate risks and to develop a low-carbon economy, as well as based on the completeness and transparency of the information provided and the adoption of best practices associated with environmental impact.

The recognition by CDP confirms the constant Pirelli’s commitment to environmental sustainability, as demonstrated by the higher-than-expected results compared to the decarbonization targets of the industrial plan. Pirelli is therefore defining new short- and long-term Science Based Targets in line with its Net Zero Commitment.

Marco Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice President of Pirellisaid: “Obtaining the most important recognition from CDP in the fight against climate change confirms the concrete results in support of a sustainable transition obtained by Pirelli and from the entire value chain also thanks to new technologies and a constant commitment to innovation”.
