Participating in the opening of the factory in Gemlik, Pininfarina issued a congratulatory message for the C SUV, whose design was co-developed.
With the special event held on October 29, the domestic automobile startup Togg, which officially opened its facility in Gemlik, took its first models off the tape in the organization. Six different versions of the model, which will be positioned in the C SUV segment, were presented, showing all the colors that will be offered for sale. Pre-orders are expected to begin in February 2023 for the model, which will begin the certification process for sale in Europe after the unwinding ceremony. Pininfarina, which forms the basis of the design side of the model, which has been developed with important collaborations since the concept process, also published a remarkable message. The long-established design studio based in Italy once again expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation realized for the C SUV bearing the signature of Murat Günak.

In the statement, it was emphasized that CEO Silvio Angori and Sales-Marketing Officer Giuseppe Bonollo attended the event held in Gemlik; “As Pininfarina, it is an honor for us to attend this special opening event held in Bursa for the first electric SUV model that our partner Togg has taken off the production line and used by President Erdoğan. Togg will put five different models into production by 2030, along with the SUV designed in partnership with Pininfarina.” was stated.
CEO Gürcan Karakaş made very clear statements especially about the design side during the domesticity discussions. Karakaş pointed out the importance of advancing the process rapidly as a newly established company and the first-stage opportunities available; “We chose the Italian design house Pininfarina, as it best represents our target audience. We worked with them. We didn’t say to order and bring it to us. Such a thing is not possible. We determined the design ourselves in line with the criteria of our target audience in Turkey. Together with our design company, our friends determined it. ” he had stated.
When is the Togg SUV sales date?
The final market launch target for the model, which was announced by President Erdoğan for the event, whose pre-orders will start in February 2023, is March 2023. The name uncertainty continues for the SUV model, whose prices are expected to be announced close to the pre-order process, as we have a 4-5 month time frame ahead of us.

The Togg front highlights the C SUV range by dividing it into two on engine basis. In the double electric motor version, we see that the combination of the units positioned at the front and the rear yields not bad values such as 435 horsepower and 660 Nm torque. The vehicle, which will have a total weight of 2,030 kilograms, will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 4.8 seconds in this combination. The only electric motor to be offered in more affordable lower versions will be positioned on the rear axle. Let’s not forget that the engines to be used in the vehicle are supplied from Bosch.
Battery and charging dynamics are also vitally important since it is an electric vehicle. In our meetings with Togg officials, we were informed that a range of up to 510 kilometers is possible in the single electric motor version. In dual electric motor models, this value is expected to be in the range of 480-500 kilometers. In this infrastructure, where fast charging support will not be overlooked, it will be possible to reach from 20 percent to 80 percent occupancy level in 25 minutes.
