A new wind is blowing in city B, like a burst of joy… Part of the population, after a devastating disaster, was compensated to the tune of several million CFA francs. And this upsets all human relationships, even within couples or families…
A text inspired by a real event that occurred on March 4, 2012, following the explosion of an ammunition depot in Brazzaville which destroyed part of the northern districts of the city causing 300 deaths, 2,500 injuries and thousands of people without -shelters.

Pierrette Mondako, actress and author from Congo, wrote her first play The staircase with crazy dances in 2002, when she had just created the Emeraude Pembe theater troupe with Célestin Kauset. Since then, his texts have been performed in several festivals in Africa, including The other side of the sky, raw women Or Sabi’s Fate. With Between two breaths, silence, it has already been read in It’s alright, it’s alright people! in 2020.
On the proposal of the Francophonies – From writing to the stage and the House of authors of Limoges, where the text was written during a writing residency. The author also benefited for this text from a residency at the Chartreuse with the Odyssée grant and at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris with the TRAME program.
