Behind Alexis Hanquinquant, Pierre-Antoine Baele could win a nice medal in para triathlon. Born with agenesis in his left foot (Agenesis is the absence of formation of an organ or a limb during embryogenesis), the athlete first turned to judo and para athletics, then during a detection course, he met Alexis Hanquinquant who made him want to get into para triathlon. “I found in sport a way to fully accept myself, to assert myself with my disability”.

“In 2022, it’s the year I break through internationally. I join the national selection for the first time and I pocket two silver medals, one at the European Paratriathlon Championships in Olsztyn in Poland, the other at the World Paratriathlon Championships in Abu Dhabi3” he explains on his official website.
