Star Trek: Picard premiered three years ago. The sci-fi series starring Patrick Stewart builds on the framework of one of the most popular Star Trek stories ever on: Starship Enterprise: The Next Century aka Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series ran from 1987 to 1994.
Star Trek: Picard waited for the first two seasons with numerous References to The Next Generation up and brought back more and more familiar faces. Just before the start of the finale, the old TNG crew around main actor Patrick Stewart is finally completely reunited, as the dramatic new trailer shows.

Next to the titular admiral are following TNG figures already returned: William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) and Data (Brent Spiner). Joining Season 3 are Geordie La Forge (LeVar Burton), Worf (Michael Dorn) and Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) into the round.
It is that first time since 2002 released feature film Star Trek: Nemesis that this cast is in front of the camera together. It should be mentioned, however, that Spiner is no longer seen as Data. Instead, he embodies Lore, Data’s evil brother. Spiner also played Data’s ancestor Adam Soong in the second season of Star Trek: Picard.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 starts in Germany on February 17, 2023 on Amazon Prime. There is a new episode every week. In the US, the final round can be seen a day earlier on Paramount+.
