Piazza Affari closes positive. Well MPS, Tenaris collapses

Piazza Affari takes back most of the gains from declines

(Finance) – Today’s session was substantially bullish for the Milanese stock exchange, in a more than positive European context. The day was devoid of great insights and investors looked abroad. On the monetary policy front, in the morning the Bank of Japan decided to leave interest rates unchanged, as widely expected, and said accommodative monetary conditions were likely to continue for the time being.

In the afternoon, Wall Street moved higher thanks to the rebound in prices megacap growth stocksafter the brilliant quarterly results of Alphabet (parent company of Google) e Microsoftand despite the price index of personal consumption expenditure (PCE) grew beyond expectations in March.

Weak session forEuro / US Dollar, which trades with a decline of 0.38%. L’Gold the session continues at the levels of the day before, reporting a change of +0.17%. The Petrolium (Light Sweet Crude Oil) shows a modest gain and marks a +0.24%.

Downhill it spreadwhich retreats to +132 basis points, with a decrease of 5 basis points, while the Ten-year BTP reports a yield of 3.88%.

Among the main European stock exchanges supported Frankfurtwith a decent gain of 1.37%, good ideas on Londonwhich shows a large lead of 0.75%, is well set Pariswhich shows an increase of 0.89%.

TO Business SquareThe FTSE MIB it ended the day with an increase of 0.91%, to 34,250 points; along the same lines, positive performance for the FTSE Italia All-Share, which ends the day up 0.97% compared to yesterday’s close. Leaps high FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+1.56%); as well, salt the FTSE Italia Star (+1.37%).

On the Milan Stock Exchange it appears that the exchange value in the session of 04/26/2024 it was equal to 2.62 billion euros, from 2.68 billion in the previous session; while the volumes traded went from 0.51 billion shares in the previous session to 0.52 billion.

Between best Italian shares large-cap, takes off MPS Bank, with an important progress of 4.04%. Toned Prysmian which highlights a nice advantage of 3.52%. In light Banca Popolare di Sondrio, with a large increase of 3.03%. Positive trend for Ivecowhich advances by a discreet +2.72%.

The strongest sales, however, hit Tenaris, which ended trading at -7.90% (the CEO told analysts that he expects a drop in EBITDA maring to 20-25% in the second half of the year). In red STMicroelectronics, which highlights a sharp decline of 2.39%. Modest descent for Herawhich drops a small -0.94%.

At the top among Italian shares a mid-cap, Ariston Holding (+5.26%), Webuild (+5.17%), The Italian Sea Group (+4.82%) e Ferragamo (+4.44%).

The strongest sales, however, hit Comer Industries, which ended trading at -1.78%. Thoughtful IRENwith a fractional decline of 0.71%.
