Pianos taken away from Soest music school while teachers fight

“We no longer had an organization and no building,” says chairman Henk van Esch of the Bach School Foundation. “Soest has offered the building to a new foundation, a merger with the Music and Dance music school in Baarn.” According to Van Esch, the Bach School has much lower overhead costs than the previous foundation. “The board lives on coffee, they don’t need anything else. Teachers also do a lot themselves. This way we have money left over to form orchestras with students, give performances and promote our music.”
