The Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs placed a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin in a body bag in the middle of the Czech and Ukrainian flags, which it hung in large sizes on the ministry building for Independence Day.
A picture showing Russian President Vladimir Putin in a body bag has been hung on the exterior of the Ministry of Internal Affairs building in the Letna district of the Capital Prague, due to the Independence Day of Czech Republic.
Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan said in a statement on his social media account, “Just like the founders of Czechoslovakia in 1918, I want us to continue to show courage and resilience even in this difficult time. We will show again and again that we will defend our country under the Czech flag against the aggressor and will proudly fight for our country. We know who our friend is. They are also shedding blood for our freedom. “We also know who our enemy is and we will not let him steal our flag,” he said.
It was reported that the production of the flags placed in the ministry building cost 50 thousand crowns (approximately 2 thousand euros) and the flags will hang for a week.
The Czech Republic has been among Ukraine’s leading supporters since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Defense Minister Jana Cernochova announced that the military equipment sent from Czechia to Ukraine reached 47 billion crowns (1.93 billion euros), while the Ministry of Interior reported that 450 thousand 90 temporary visas have been given to asylum seekers who escaped the Russian attacks and came to the Czech Republic.
