Philippe Lioret, love at 16

Philippe Lioret love at 16

Director Philippe Lioret returns with “16 years” his 9th feature film. A contemporary and socio-cultural reinterpretation of the story of “Romeo and Juliet” with young actors Teïlo Azaïs and Sabrina Levoye.

This new year begins under the sign of love. From adolescent love, which will be born between two high school students, Léo and Nora, to the false airs of “Romeo and Juliet”, embodied by two young actors Teïlo Azaïs and Sabrina Levoye.

An obvious love, and at the same time a love against all odds, beyond differences – and family differences. A drama too, but a social drama, deeply human, directed by a director who has always known how to make viewers feel the truth of emotions in cinema: Philippe Lioret.

The film is called “16 years”. It comes out on French screens on Wednesday.

VMDN guests: Philippe Lioret (director) and Sabrina Levoye and Teilo Azais (actors).
