People are very important to us and this is why we put their safety first, promoting programs to continuously improve protection and prevention standards. In our strategic sustainability plan, we are certain that building a serene and inclusive work environment is of fundamental importance, an area in which people can express their potential and be valued and rewarded based on their commitment and talent. And it is precisely with these aims that the new headquarters of the Group was conceived, which will finally be operational from next September, with a strong focus also on reducing the impact on the climate. In this regard, in fact, we will purchase shares of green energy from the grid, we will use electric power from renewable sources, we will undertake to use natural resources and the necessary raw materials in a circular way. A commitment to a more equitable and sustainable future, which also extends to the social sphere. Indeed, we plan to intensify our relations with schools, continuing to promote actions in support of the communities in which we operate, but not only. Our strategy envisages the increasingly active and responsible involvement of all the entities involved along the supply chain, involving them in a performance assessment and improvement process relating to environmental, social and business ethics issues, with a focus on compliance human rights”.

In the second Sustainability Report of the Pharmanutra Group, in addition to representing the progress made and the objectives achieved, the medium-term sustainability strategy (the Sustainability Plan) is illustrated for the first time; a concrete plan, made up of actions and projects, which aims to lead the Group towards a fair and sustainable future, continuing to generate value for investors, customers and all stakeholders. The Sustainability Plan is divided into six high-level areas of commitment: Governance: oriented towards sustainable success; People: generate involvement, awareness and belonging to the ESG project; Environment: ensure efficient management of consumption and reduction of environmental impacts; Community: contribute to the well-being and improvement of the quality of life of the local community; Value chain: ESG strengthening of the supply chain; Innovation: ensure the protection of intellectual property, patents and raw materials.

For each area, operational objectives have been identified to be pursued with an estimate of implementation times.

A governance structure has been appointed dedicated to pursuing the objectives outlined in the Sustainability Plan to pursue “sustainable success” in accordance with the provisions of the Corporate Governance Code for companies listed on the MTA market, structured as follows: attribution of specific powers in the Area ESG to the Executive Director Germano Tarantino; attribution to the Control and Risk Committee, which becomes the Control, Risk and Sustainability Committee, of propositional and advisory functions vis-à-vis the Board of Directors on sustainability matters; appointment of the ESG manager and definition of the composition of the operational team for the implementation of the operational actions envisaged in the plan and the reporting of the results, contributing to the dissemination of the culture of sustainability.
