Pharmacists, Enpaf: 600 thousand euros to support parenting for members

Pharmacists Enpaf 600 thousand euros to support parenting for members

(Finance) – A new contribution to support parenting aimed at registered pharmacists. This is what is provided for by the new initiative launched by the National Agency for Social Security and Assistance for Pharmacists (Enpaf). The initiative, which starts on September 16, includes a allocation of 600 thousand euros to support pharmacists on the occasion of the birth or adoption of a child.

The contribution, in the amount of one thousand euros (increased to 1,500 euros for twin births or multiple adoptions/pre-adoptive placements), is intended for women and men registered with Enpaf who carry out professional activities, regardless of their professional category. To access the benefit, at least 5 years of registration and regular contributions are required.

The initiative has been structured to ensure targeted and effective support. To obtain the contribution, applicants must present a certificate ISEE not exceeding 30 thousand euroswith a limit of movable assets set at 40 thousand euros. These parameters, explains the organization, were established to ensure that the support reaches those who need it most. The application can be submitted within 180 days of the birth of the child or the entry into the family of the adopted or foster minor. The contribution can be combined with other economic support for maternity protection. The sums paid through this contribution are exempt from taxation, thus ensuring that the entire amount directly benefits the families of the members.

The contribution marks an important step forward for Enpaf in supporting birth rates and in particular for pharmacists who make up over 70% of its approximately 102 thousand members, the organization emphasizes. The new initiative is in addition to forms of extraordinary assistance which provide a one-off contribution for nursery and infant school expenses, up to 3 thousand euros per child, with a maximum of 6 thousand euros overall.

“The initiative is part of a national context of growing attention to policies to support birth rates and families. In line with the government’s efforts to combat the demographic decline and support young professionals, this contribution represents a concrete step forward in supporting the category – states Emilio Croce, President of Enpaf –. As Enpaf we are aware of the importance of aligning our welfare policies with the national ones”.

Applications will be examined in chronological order of submission and accepted within the limits of the allocated budget. If both parents are pharmacists, the contribution will be paid only once for the same event. “It is good to remember – continues Cross – that the contribution is paid regardless of the social security rate paid and, therefore, even those who pay the solidarity contribution in possession of the income requirements can benefit from it”.
