The pharmaceutical company NorthX Biologics in Matfors will become one of the cornerstones in the development of advanced medicines with a completely newly built innovation hub that will be inaugurated in the autumn.
– We have an important role if Sweden is to become a world leader in ATMP. Our role is to manufacture and process develop medicines within these advanced therapies, says Helena Strigård, CEO of NorthX Biologics.
Earlier in the week, most of Sweden’s major pharmaceutical manufacturers gathered for a conference at the pharmaceutical company in Matfors.
The government has given Vinnova (the Agency for Innovation Systems) the task of establishing a national innovation cluster, which includes Matforsföretaget. The cluster will make Sweden a world leader in advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing.
