Marking 2023 as an important threshold in the transition to electrification, Peugeot wants to draw attention with its comprehensive options.
The transformation process in the electrification focus is the main agenda item of Peugeot, as in other manufacturers in the sector. The French manufacturer, which has implemented touches focused on range improvements in the e-208 and e-2008 models this year, is ready to add the e-308 to the family. In the statements shared by official sources, it is noteworthy that 2023 is marked as a year in which the product range accelerates rapidly in terms of the transition to electric. As part of the planning, starting from the first half of 2023, all Peugeot models can be preferred with one or more electric motor versions. The brand is also moving step by step towards its goal of offering all-electric models in Europe by 2030.

Peugeot e-308 will be an important actor
One of the most important innovations in 2023 for the brand’s all-electric product range will be the introduction of the e-308. The electric 308, which has a new and powerful electric motor producing 156 horsepower, offers a range of more than 400 kilometers. This performance is made possible by advances in engine and battery technology, as well as the new EMP2 platform, which has been optimized in terms of aerodynamics and weight, and improvements to reduce friction losses. Peugeot will also launch the e-408 in the future alongside dynamic and innovative rechargeable hybrid models in the compact class.
The e-208, which was put into development in 2022, which we are getting ready to leave behind, will benefit from some important technical improvements with the new engine introduced with the e-308. The maximum power of the e-208 increases by 15% from 136 hp to 156 hp. The 10.5 percent increase reflected in the range with the touches on the battery side appears as an improvement of 38 kilometers on this side. With its new dynamics, the e-208 will be able to offer a range of up to 400 km. With its fast charging feature, the vehicle’s battery can be charged to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes at a 100 kW charging station.

Rechargeable hybrid options will also offer a solution
Rechargeable hybrid models, which are a solution for users who are distant from electric cars for now, will also be on the list by Peugeot. The French manufacturer’s plan to reach all kinds of audiences draws attention with models from different classes, including sedans, station wagons or SUVs. In this context, the rechargeable hybrid is offered in two different power levels, 308, 180 or 225 HP, and provides a range of up to 60 km in all-electric driving mode. These engines are also used in the new PEUGEOT 408, whose world debut was made at the Paris Motor Show.
The 3008 is also available in 225 HP rechargeable hybrid or 300 HP versions with all-wheel drive, and can travel up to 59 km without using the internal combustion engine. Apart from that, the 508 is also available in a 225 HP plug-in hybrid with sedan and SW body type, or a PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED version with 360 HP and all-wheel drive. On the commercial side of electricity, the e-EXPERT Hydrogen solution stands out. Standing out with its 400 km range, 100 kW power and 260 Nm torque, this model can carry loads of up to 1,000 kg.
