Peugeot, the future of electric cars with the lion logo Inception ConceptPreparing for its launch. Date and location chosen – January 5, 2023 CES, Las Vegas. The marketing campaign got off to a good start with a series of pretty enigmatic visuals and uplifting language press releases.
It’s an interesting experience to read the press release of an upcoming concept vehicle early in the morning without a sufficient dose of caffeine. It’s as good as watching a Japanese movie and trying to figure out if it’s a comedy or a drama, but learning it’s a documentary.
Let’s take a closer look at Stellantis’ press release announcing the Inception Concept from Peugeot. There really isn’t much to explore – just a fancy and very long sentence:
With its new official language that exalts its feline and attractive demeanor, its revolutionary interior design and the promise of an unprecedented driving sensation, the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT ushers in a new era based on its brand values of Allure, Emotion and Excellence.
You may not understand much from the above explanation. Let’s see what the pictures and videos added to the broadcast tell:
We’ve got a short video and a few pictures that don’t really tell much. Well – the front logo sits right in the middle of a classic reverse-angle grille, very similar to the one on the 2018 Peugeot E-Legend.
Then there are the taillights, a slightly thinner version of what we’re used to seeing on all Peugeot models, and again very similar to the one we first saw at the E-Legend in 2018.
With all this and the fact that Renault and Citroen are reviving past legends and incorporating old designs into their future cars, is it possible that Peugeot is bringing us another version of the E-Legend electric car? Inspired by the great looking coupe from Peugeot’s past?
CES is less than a month away, and the company is sure to continue this marketing trend. There will be more pictures, more information to come, and leaked photos showing the car in all its glory shortly before the curtain rises. 2023 looks to be off to a great start. In summary, we can say that an interesting vehicle awaits us.
