Peugeot 4008, which will join the family in 2022, has the potential to reach a wide audience with its rich engine options.
With the new generation 308, Peugeot, which has managed to make a sound in every market it has entered, is preparing to add a new model to its product range after a long time. This role to be assumed by the 4008, which will in a sense be the continuation of the current 4007, which has also become a part of our minds with the partnership with Mitsubishi, also carries the quality of reaching a new audience in the rising graphic of the French manufacturer. Details about the model, which rises on a sporty SUV solution, have been on the agenda in many different press sources over the prototype version for a while. Lastly, the latest information from the front of the Peugeot 4008, which was caught on camera in March, is that it is in the final stages of its process. The possibilities on the technical side of the model, which is expected to be carried into mass production with an engine combination closer to the new generation 308, now seem more obvious.

The all-electric option for the Peugeot 4008 won’t be surprising either.
The EMP2 platform, which we have seen in many of the brands under the umbrella of Stellantis and which we will see in the future, brings the 4008 to life here as well. Thanks to this platform, the fact that the doors of gasoline, hybrid and diesel as well as fully electric versions are open points to an inevitable path in electrification transformation for the 4008. If there is no big surprise, we will definitely see 1.2-liter PureTech and 1.5-liter diesel engines in the model. In addition, we expect to see rechargeable hybrid versions in the 4008’s preference list. It is worth remembering that two hybrid options shaped around the 1.6-liter petrol engine are offered in the 308 with 180 and 225 PS power values. For the possible fully electric version of the 4008, it is possible to base the expected figures for the e-308. In this context, we can draw a framework on 160 horsepower, 270 Nm torque and a range of approximately 400 kilometers. We know that with the 4008, which will be introduced this year, Peugeot aims to increase the share of electric vehicles in its product range, both passenger and commercial vehicles, to 70 percent by 2022. Aiming to increase this rate to 85% by 2023, the brand will offer all of its products to the market as electric in 2025.
