Stina Nilsson already has several pallet seats in Ski Classics.
It has been rumored that she could be relevant for the Ski World Cup in Trondheim-but TV expert Petter Solng Skinstad does not believe that.
– No, she will not be in the World Cup, says the Norwegian to the Sports Bible.
After four years as a biathlon changed Stina Nilsson31, track again. Nowadays she competes in long races. After just over half the season, you can only say that the change has done her well. She has already accumulated a number of pallet seats in Ski Classics.

The good results have led to her being balled as a name that could be included in the Swedish national team squad for the Ski World Cup in Trondheim. She has five Olympic medals and seven World Cup medals as cross-country skiers and could certainly challenge more.

Two of those who openly discussed whether Stina could join the World Cup are the Norwegian giants Therese Johaug and Petter Northug.
– You should never say never, but there are many other Swedish ladies that she is fighting to get the chance to even compete, says Johaug to Nettavisen.
– It’s probably a little exaggerated. I think she mainly trains for long races. It’s good because she delivers there, but in terms of capacity she is not at top level yet, says Northug.
Skinstad does not believe in Stina in the World Cup
Even the previous ski profile Petter Solng Skinstadwho competed both in length and in long runs, think it will be too tough for Stina to succeed in qualifying for the World Cup already. Maybe if she had changed sports already for last season and had a year as a long-run, then she might be ready for a ski World Cup.
– No, she will not be in the World Cup. It’s too early. If Stina continues to go well in long races and gets the body adapted to this type of skiing, she can always go the premiere in Bruksvallarna or in Gällivare or something next year to try the form and see if it is interesting again, he tells the Sports Bible.

In such cases, he believes that the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina are a more reasonable goal for her.
– We can keep the door a little open for it, but I don’t think it’s realistic, he says, and also stresses that Stina herself never stated that she actually wants to compete in the World Cup:
– No, that’s the main reason. If Stina had wanted it herself, they could have started looking at it. Her talent is as big as any. But if she does not want it herself, it will be difficult.
