Petter Northug has contacted Sebastian Samuelsson with an unexpected invitation.

The last season has been a real great success for the Swedish biathlon star Sebastian Samuelsson. Where the Biathlon World Cup 2023 in Oberhof was the big highlight of the winter and “Sebbe” really hit the mark in the best way.

Samuelsson exceeded the expectations of many and left the world championship with a WC gold and three WC bronzes. Right now he is recharging for the upcoming biathlon season with much-needed rest and recovery.

Recently, he met the Swedish media in connection with the presentation of the new national team squad for the coming season. Then the 26-year-old opened up about what he’s been up to lately.
– The leave has been very good. It was a long winter with many competitions, so it’s nice to be able to let go of that part for a while. I really enjoyed myself, had a nice week in the mountains, was in Stockholm for a weekend and so on. It was great, he says at the press conference.

Northug’s words
For the most part, Samuelsson has been at home in Östersund, where a picture from the house got the most Peter Northug to react and get in touch. Sebbe proudly showed off that it was the barbecue premiere and the Norwegian surprised with an unexpected invitation, see the picture below.
“Congratulations! See you at midsummer,” wrote the Norwegian skiing profile to the Swede on Instagram.
“You can bring the meat,” replied Samuelsson coldly.

Sebastian Samuelsson admits that he has developed a relationship with Northug. As the Norwegian is now an expert in biathlon for the television channel TV2 and they also met in the television program “Sweden against Norway”.
– I wouldn’t say that I know him, but we met during the recording and then he was an expert on Norwegian TV2, so I ran into him a lot during the winter, the Swedish biathlon star admits to SportExpressen.

But the big question is of course whether there will be a Swedish-Norwegian Midsummer celebration for Sebbe and Petter. For Samuelsson, it feels highly doubtful.
– I wouldn’t believe it, but I replied that it’s just a matter of coming by if he brings meat. He might show up, who knows, he says with a laugh to the evening newspaper.
