Charlotte Kalla is pregnant and about to become a mother for the first time.
The message has been spread throughout the ski WC – and a group of funny people have responded.
Norwegian Petter Northug offers a clever joke to congratulate the Swede.
On Friday morning came the wonderful news that the skiing legend Charlotte Kalla is pregnant and about to become a mother for the first time in her life. The 35-year-old himself delivered the happy surprise on social media.

Where she made her and her partner public Fredrik Karlström future children.
“If everything goes well, the summer of 2023 will mean the biggest change of my life. We are going to be parents! We are happy, hopeful and happy even though it still feels very surreal. One step at a time towards something incredibly long-awaited, a dream I longed to experience!”, writes Kalla on Instagram.

Congratulations have since poured in for the Swedish skiing icon, who ended his active career last year. The news has quickly spread around the ski WC and several of the Swedish national team skiers wanted to congratulate their former teammate.
“Oh! Congratulations x1000”, writes Frida Karlsson on Instagram.
“Oh! Congratulations!”, writes the new WC gold medalist Jonna Sundling.
“Oh, big congratulations CK,” writes the WC silver medalist Emma Ribom.

Northug’s joke
Norway has also been touched by the news of Charlotte Kalla’s happy pregnancy. And of course the Norwegian ski profile Peter Northugwho is in the World Cup as an expert for TV2, also spoke out – with a clever joke.
– Oh! Cool! But I’m not the father, says the Norwegian to SportExpressen with a laugh.
– It’s just to congratulate Charlotte. And this is good news for Swedish skiing.

Petter Northug also hopes that Kalla will have a daughter, just like Therese Johaug will get. So that there may be a new competition in the tracks between their children in the future.
– We know that Therese Johaug is going to have a daughter – so now I hope that Kalla’s child will be the same sex. Then there could be a new era with duels between Johaug and Kalla!
