Particularly awaited le decisions on the fuel cost front. The Council of Ministers has developed a ad hoc decree law in favor of greater transparency in the fuel market for the benefit of the consumer. The monitoring of prices to distributors will no longer be weekly but daily and the obligation to display the price at the pump has been introduced with penalties that could be imposed by the prefect. On the motorways, the hypothesis is to pay a higher percentage to the distributors, but it must be fixed. On the other hand, according to what has been learned, interventions on excise duties are excluded.

“The forecast, from the data we collected in the first 8 days of the year, is that there should be a stabilization of these fuel prices – the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Picetto Fratin –. There are a number of situations that need to be monitored, to understand if we are talking about motorways or areas where there is only one petrol station, such as on the islands. For a price above 2 euros, a specific justification is needed. There is a request from the Antitrust for a verification of those cases where there has been a surplus, remembering that the price is free”.

As regards the appointments to tax agenciesthe departure of Marcello Minenna, in his place, is confirmed at Customs Robert Alesse, the head of cabinet of the Minister for Civil Protection Nello Musumeci. Reconfirm yourself Ernesto Maria Ruffini to the Revenue Agency and the director of the State Property Agency, Alessandra Dal Verme.
