Between 2003 and 2010 each Peter Mangs described as “the serial shooter in Malmö” and during these years he terrorized the entire city.
In the district court, Mangs was first convicted of two murders and five attempted murders, but the sentence was tightened in the Court of Appeal and he was then convicted of three more attempted murders.
The penalty was life imprisonment and damages totaling SEK 1,178,138, according to the newspaper Northern Scania.

Nowadays, Peter Mangs is serving his prison sentence at the Hall prison, where he has received several warnings for mismanagement.

But how much of the compensation has Mangs actually paid? News24 asked the Victims of Crime Agency, which notes the following in an email:
“The total debt as of today’s date is SEK 1,125,377.10. Of the amount, SEK 830,025 is capital and SEK 295,352.10 is interest.”
According to the authority, there is no installment plan because the debt lies with the Kronofogden. Mang’s case is therefore not reviewed either.
