In the fall of 2024, the very first episode of the Swedish edition of “Race across the world” premiered on Kanal 5, with none other than Kristin Kaspersen as presenter. The program is for ten Swedish celebrities to cross an entire continent – but there is a catch. Namely, they must do this without flights, telephones and bank cards.

Peter Magnusson on the tough competition: “Hardest job I’ve done in my entire life”
For News24 says Peter Magnusson, who competes with his mother Lotta Blomqvist, about the extremely tough recording and also takes the opportunity to give Felix Herngren a jocular peck…
Was it as hard as it looked?
– It was actually more difficult. It’s the hardest thing I’ve done in my entire life, at least in terms of work. I was also in “Over the Atlantic” and it was hard, but this was perhaps a bit sharper. And one reason was that you were out for so long and with limited resources, food, accommodation and money. It was hard, but that was also the essence of the challenge and the competition.

Were you ever close to giving up?
– No, I wouldn’t say that. It was still a competition.
Who among the others was most competitive?
– It was Felix and Clara. You could see above all in Felix’s eyes on day one that they became predatory. I felt this guy wanted to win, and so did Clara. I would say that they were the ones who felt absolutely the most dangerous from that aspect from the beginning.

How was the atmosphere then, between the teams?
– It was good. It would be boring to start “bashing” each other. It wasn’t an MMA fight either. But I thought Felix felt most competitive. It didn’t necessarily mean that he was the most dangerous late, we don’t know that yet, explains Magnusson and continues:
– But then it was Emil and Carl who felt dangerous in a completely different way because they were so cute. They had such charm and twinkling eyes. So I thought they will go far on their charm alone. It was tougher for me and mom to compete against.
