Peter LeMarc suffered a stroke

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Facts: Peter LeMarc

Born 1958 in Trollhättan. Lived in Bagarmossen outside Stockholm for a long time.

The album debuted already in 1982, but the big breakthrough came only five years later with the album “Peter LeMarc”. Has since been one of Sweden’s most loved artists.

Has been plagued by stage fright for a long time and did his last concert in 2014. The farewell took place at a celebrated concert at the Stockholm Music & Arts festival in Stockholm.

But in 2018 he releases an acoustic EP, recorded in his friend Peter Karlsson’s basement, which also gave the EP the title “In Karlsson’s basement”.

“If anyone wonders where I’ve gone…” This is how Peter LeMarc, 64, begins his post.

In the post, he says that about six weeks ago he suffered a stroke. “Parts of my field of vision are gone. This makes it very difficult for me to read continuous text, such as books or newspapers,” he writes.

Experts he talks to say it takes time and that he should be patient. “At the moment, no one can say whether the damage is permanent or whether and how much my brain can relearn,” he writes.

“The map of life is being redrawn once again.”

An important reason for him to share the information himself is because he has been alerted to the fact that several “Peter LeMarc imposters” are rampant on Instagram.

“I NEVER contact anyone I don’t know personally via Instagram. Especially not now,” writes LeMarc.
