Peter Jobackeducated at Adolf Fredrik’s music school, Södra Latin’s high school and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, has since his breakthrough in the musical “Grease” in 1991 become one of Sweden’s most popular artists.
Over the years, Jöback has managed a lot. As early as 1992 he did the voice in the classic Disney film “Aladdin” and three years later he played Robert in “Kristina från Duvemåla” where he sang the iconic “The gold turned to sand”.

On the musical front, he has also done everything from “Cabaret” to “The Witches of Eastwick” and he has also been handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway.
– It’s a bit of fun. I received a text from Cameron Mackintosh who said something like: “I don’t know if you’re into this at all, but Andrew and Harold Prince really want you to play the phantom. They can’t think of anyone else but you, so they asked me to at least send you a text and check. I don’t know how you feel, but now I’ve done it anyway”. It was a completely sick text message, Jöback has told The evening paper.
Peter Jöback has also done a series of sold-out Christmas tours, appeared on the big screen in “I will come home again for Christmas” and has been in, among other things, “So much better” and “The stars in the castle”.

Peter Jöback is active in several companies
It turns out that Peter Jöback is active in four companies, of which the two largest are “Mainly Music Stock Company” and “Peter Jöback Production Aktiebolag”.
The former, where Jöback sits as chairman of the board, is engaged in everything from artistic activities and consultancy in music to buying, selling and managing shares or real estate, among other things.
In August 2023, this company reported a turnover of SEK 2.1 million, but also a loss of SEK 2.2 million. The company’s assets were then measured at SEK 12.9 million. The year before that, “Mainly Music Aktiebolag” had a turnover of SEK 11.7 million and reported a profit of SEK 8.5 million.

In the other company, “Peter Jöback Production Aktiebolag”, they deal with everything from publishing operations to producing operations within marketing. There they reported a turnover of just over one million kroner and a loss of 1.4 million kroner in August 2023. The assets were then estimated to amount to 2.1 million kroner.

Peter Jöback’s salary – that’s how much money he makes
So how does it look on the salary front for Peter Jöback? Yes, according to documents from Tax Agency that Nyheter24 learned of, the artist had a fixed earned income of a full 4,222,700 kroner in 2023.
This gave Jöback an average monthly salary of over SEK 350,000, which can be compared with the average salary in Sweden, which is SEK 39,900 according to Central Statistics Office.

Peter Jöback and Oscar Jöback live in a luxurious villa
That things are going well for Peter Jöback can also be seen in the way he lives. He and his husband have been together for several years Oscar Jobackas well as the children Vega Lee and Iggy Louliving in a to say the least lavish villa on Värmdö outside Stockholm.
The villa, which has a living area of 182 square meters and a plot area of 2,014 square meters, was built in 2005 and bought by the Jöback couple for a breathtaking 9,750,000 kroner, according to The evening paper.

The house is drawn by Paul Ross and in a post on Facebook, published in the summer of 2023, Jöback said that the architect had come to visit:
“Yesterday our house was finally signed by the fine architect Pål Ross. We love our house! And it was nice to invite Pål to visit so he could see what Oscar and I had created from his house. With our garden and interior design. Now we forge new plans together with his colleague January to make our home even nicer. A collaboration I am very much looking forward to. Because architecture and art and nature are some of our great passions, apart from music and training then.”
On Instagram, the artist occasionally shares pictures from the villa, which has a lush garden, greenhouse, exercise studio, swimming pool and a lovely patio.
