Peter Forsberg has thrown himself into a completely new challenge.
And forced to say goodbye to their children in the most emotional way.

He is one of our very best Swedish hockey players of all time. Peter Forsberg has won double Olympic gold, double World Cup gold and double Stanley Cup titles during his successful career, but now a brand new challenge awaits the icon.

During the autumn, we will all get to see “Foppa” in a completely different environment than ice hockey when he goes out to sea to participate in the Kanal 5 program “Over the Atlantic”. Together with a bunch of other celebrities, the hockey legend will make his way from the Canary Islands to the West Indies.

Now Forsberg eases his heart and reveals what was the toughest thing about the recordings. Namely the tough farewell to his children that took place over a video call in Las Palmas.
– Now I’m going away for 17 days, you know that, right? Don’t be sad… We have to fight. Okay?, he says in the TV show.
– You can hug and take care of each other. Okay, I’ll call you as soon as I get there. Okay, besties?
Farewell to the children
It was not at all easy to say goodbye to your three children on the phone and be away from them for so long.
– It was harder than I thought. But it will be fine. It’s all the more fun when you arrive, then you get to see it. We have to fight until then, says Foppa in the program.
– Still, quite a lot has happened in life a number of months ago, so it might be nice to get going as well. And not have any stress from the outside world in any way, but you are just where you are.

Peter Forsberg separated from Nicole Nordin last year and have shared custody of their three children together. Therefore, a trip across the Atlantic becomes a break from everyday life.
– I feel quite harmonious about doing this. I haven’t prepared that much, but I take it as it comes somehow, he says about the challenge.
