But the hockey icon never forgets the time he stood eye to eye with one of the world’s largest animals for a hockey match.
He is one of Swedish hockey’s foremost players of all time. Peter Forsberg Is also considered one of the very best to have played in the NHL of all time.
Forsberg’s career
There will always be speculation about “Foppa” about how good he could really be. When the hockey career became extremely suffering from a lot of injury problems and he was also forced to leave prematurely.

Peter’s shock meeting
Peter Forsberg also never forgets the most unexpected meeting in the gaming walk on the arena Madison Square Garden in New York. When he was put eye to eye with one of the world’s largest animals, see the video below.
– A year when I was there, there was some circus that I didn’t know about. Then I met an elephant down in the gaming walk when I went into the match haha, says Foppa in the Viaplay studio.
– I think it was a circus in the morning and then we played match in the evening. Then you ran on an elephant in the hallway.

-Did you tackle it?, Asks Viaplay colleague Erik Granqvist.
– Haha well, but you stayed along the wall, Foppa answers in the video below.
Nor was it entirely optimal to play hockey match against the New York Rangers on that ice.
– You could feel the smell of elephant shit and the ice was completely cash. They had probably put some floor over, so they would not pie the ice when an elephant went around there. So it was very soft ice. A lot could happen there (in Madison Square Garden), says Forsberg.
– We had “Isidor” in Luleå, a pretend bear. But it’s hard to beat an elephant …, says Granqvist with a laugh.
