Ahead of the Grand Meeting between Sweden and Finland in Four Nations, Peter Forsberg beat what Teemu Selänne.
When it became clear that Tre Kronor lost the match, it was only for “Foppa” to take the bull by the horns.
There was a lot at stake in connection with Tre Kronor’s hot duel against the “Lion” from Finland. Not only was it important points in the hunt for a final place in Four Nations. For the NHL icons Peter Forsberg51, and Teemu Selänne54, the match meant so much more.
“Foppa” lost the bet
The two legends had struck what about who would win the match.
– We have beaten what about a beer and that the other should serve it. Hopefully it will be he who serves the beer, Selänne told Expressen before the match.
Unfortunately, for Forsberg and Sweden, Finland won 4-3 after an extension. Teemu Selänne went around looking for “Foppa” for the final signal. He was thirsty.
– I’ve been looking for Peter. It will be great when he comes with the cold, lovely beer!, He tells SVT Sport.

Selänne’s tribute to friend Forsberg
The Finn also took the opportunity to pay tribute to his friend from Sweden. They both grew up during a season, 2003/2004, but then they parted again. Nevertheless, they have remained friends. This is how he describes the relationship with Forsberg.
– It’s amazing. We played together for a year in Colorado and I have been playing against “Foppa” for many years. I really respect him and we are good friends, says Selänne.
Finally, he found Peter Forsberg inside the arena Bell Center in Montreal. The Swede then kept his promise and opened a can of bid Light which he then poured into a plastic glass and served Teemu Selänne.
So sad for Sweden and for Peter Forsberg that there was a loss to Finland! The hope, on the other hand, lives that Tre Kronor will be able to reach the final in Four Nations, but a win against the United States is required the night against Tuesday. Drive hard!
