The Kremlin’s press secretary accuses the Finnish leadership of squandering previous good relations.
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation on Finland’s eastern border today, Wednesday.
– We deeply regret that the Finnish leadership has chosen a path, the purpose of which is to consciously distance itself from the previous good nature of bilateral relations, Russian news agency RIA Novosti borrow Peskov’s answer at his press conference.
This is the first time that Russia has commented on the situation on the Eastern border.
Minister of the Interior Mari Rantanen (ps.) said earlier this week that in certain situations Finland can close its eastern border and even the border of the entire country.
