The cross -country skiing World Cup will continue this weekend in Cognus, Italy. 7 women and 10 male skiers have been selected for the Finnish team.
The Cogne World Cup in Italy will start on Friday at Parisprint, the traditional skiing, which will be skied at the Trondheim World Championships. On Saturday, the program will include traditional skiing sprints and on Sunday’s free skiing 10 kilometers.
7 women and 10 male skiers have been selected for the Finnish team and there will be changes to the team skiing last weekend. On the women’s side Amanda island return to the World Cup circles while Tiia Olkkonen and Hilla Niemelä are not on the team. Men’s side of the team related to Ristomatti Hakola, Perttu Hyvärinen and Arsi Ruuskanen. Instead of competing in Engadin Eero Rantala and Verneri Suhonen are not involved.
Perttu Hyvärinen has only skied this season in one of the World Cup in Davos. Hyvärinen has had time for the season, and a week ago he admitted that he was under pressure to succeed.
