A total of 150 municipalities are affected by this because they all have the same supplier of security alarms, says the IT strategist. In Norrbotten, in addition to Piteå municipality, it also affects Kalix, Haparanda and Övertorneå.
– If it turns out that personal data has been leaked, it is serious and we follow developments closely. The company has informed us that we are likely to have been affected but we do not know for sure if this is the case or if so the extent. We await further information from Careium, which is working intensively on the issue, says Klara Wallin.
The incident is handled according to established procedures.
