A woman in Västerås stole large sums from a woman in her 70s for whom she worked as a personal assistant. Now she has been convicted of gross fraud, writes Vestmanland’s Läns Tidning.
The robbed woman, who had several personal assistants, needed help with paying bills, among other things. One day, another of her personal assistants discovered a strange transaction on the woman’s account and raised the alarm.
It turned out that the woman who has now been convicted had transferred money to her account on 26 occasions during 2022 by using her user’s bank ID and bank box. The total sum amounted to nearly SEK 860,000.
The woman is sentenced to prison for one year and two months.
