A person has been subjected to serious assault at Ängsö camping in Sundängen outside Västerås.
The person has been taken to hospital.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
Both must have been guests at the campsite, the Public Prosecutor’s Office states.
Both the police and the prosecutor are very secretive about the case.
– You can take it up with the prosecutor, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro, the police’s spokesperson for the Midt region.
Unclear motive
The prosecutor’s office does not want to go into what caused the assault or a possible motive.
– That is what must be investigated now, says Robin Simonsson, communicator at the authority.

The prosecutor also does not want to say what injuries were inflicted on the victim or why the assault is classified as serious.
– It has to do with the information that the informant had, says Robin Simonsson.
Region Västerås states that they currently do not have any information about the damage situation.
During the summer, several people were abused at campsites in Sweden. Last Friday, a man and a woman were beaten at a campsite in Halmstad, after they asked the suspected perpetrator, a man in his 20s, to stop playing loud music.
