A block of terraced houses is on fire in Vällingby in northwest Stockholm. One person has been taken to hospital in an ambulance.
– Two apartments are completely destroyed. We don’t have it under control, says Henrik Jynnesjö, commanding officer of the rescue service.
The rescue service has a large number of units on site. It is unclear how badly injured the person is or if there are more injured.
– We are inside with smoke divers.
Emergency services and an ambulance were called at 15:21 on Sunday.
The extinguishing work has been made more difficult by the fact that the fire hydrants are not working. Instead, tankers have had to deliver water, reports SVT Nyheter.
