The accident happened just after 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon, outside Bro in Upplands-Bro municipality.
– A pedestrian has been hit by a truck. It is a serious accident, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
Police, emergency services and an ambulance were alerted to Enköpingsvägen where a truck had swerved from a smaller connecting road.
The incident is being investigated as negligence in traffic.
