In two days, Allsång at Skansen will start and Pernilla Wahlgren has been given the prestigious task of leading the popular program.
It is not entirely easy to shoulder the role and there are many things she has to think about.
– It’s all emotions at once because not many people have had this job, says Pernilla Wahlgren.
On June 27, the summer sing-along takes place and the artist Pernilla Wahlgren takes over the stage as host.
– I was so flattered, terrified, proud, happy and moved when I got the question, she says.
“Provocative”
Pernilla Wahlgren tells TV4 Nyhetsmorgon how she is now starting to feel calmer and longs to get started even though there are also challenges with the job.
– There is so much to sit. You have to study sing-along lyrics, your own script and any own numbers and so on.
When the news came out that Pernilla Wahlgren had gotten the summer job, she says, however, that it was not always received as completely positive.
– I think it became provocative for some when I became the new sing-along leader at Skansen because people have so many opinions about me thanks to the fact that I am so private, she says.
Is in advertising quarantine
As Allsång på Skansen is broadcast by the public service channel SVT, she must now stop advertising. Something she has previously worked diligently with on, among other things, social media.
– You can go on a sponsor detox! It will be a few months for me with zero advertising, which is a bit nice, says Pernilla Wahlgren and continues:
– However, I have to think about it all the time.
Despite the challenges, which she does not see as a problem, Pernilla says that she is looking forward to a whole summer at Skansen.
– Since I have worked with so many different things, it feels very easy and wonderful to be part of this folk festival.
