The police in the Bergslagen Region have granted the Danish right-wing extremist Rasmus Paludan and his party Tight Course permission to hold election rallies in Falun and Borlänge. However, the places and times the application applies to have changed and the permit is granted for Ölandsgatan by the river in Falun and Målaregatan in central Borlänge – instead of Stora Torget in Falun and Tjärna Centrum in Borlänge.
– We have strong constitutionally protected rights in Sweden, but we have the opportunity to make some adjustments, says Diana Qudhaib, press spokesperson for the police in the Bergslagen Region.
The police assess that the risk of unrest would be too great in Tjänra centrum. Stora Torget in Falun was busy at the time.
