Since 2013, Peter Rütten and Oliver Kalkofe have been presenting a finely curated selection of notorious trash films several times a year. From failed blockbusters like Battlefield Earth to cult trash like Bigfoot – the legend lives! Everything was there, right up to modern test-tube trash like Sharknado.

In September it was announced that Tele 5 will not continue the SchleFaZ series – a shock for the fan community and the two hosts. Today is the last (for now) issue of the cult series. We explain which film Rütten and Kalkofe chose for their farewell, what the reasons are for leaving the series and whether there is still a chance for a sequel.

Farewell SchleFaZ: That’s what Hard Ticket to Hawaii is about

In their moderation, Peter Rütten and Oliver Kalkhofe will alternately praise the film as a masterpiece and an absolute disgrace: Hard Ticket to Hawaii is the name of the cult trash that the duo will throw themselves into in the last episode. It combines almost everything a good SchleFaZ needs: a thin, confusing plot, some kind of monster and lots of tastelessness.

The year of publication: 1987

The plot: Donna and Taryn were once Drug Enforcement Administration agents. Now they run a trucking company in Hawaii. The first problem: They introduce a genetically mutated killer snake onto an island, which is now killing the locals there. The second problem: Donna and Taryn get involved with drug dealers. The film will show how the two fit together.

The director: Andy Sidaris, who is also responsible for Guns – Sex Women Clear Up and Hot Girls with Straps and Guns

Moviepilot rating: A really good 5.5

Oliver Kalkofe announced immediately after the dismissal new home for the show to search. So far, however, no station has been found to continue SchleFaZ. With the huge fan base behind us, the chances are still good.
