Co-developers Crystal Dynamics and The Initiative have revealed the first look at the Perfect Dark reboot, showcasing the long-awaited return of agent Joanna Dark (who last appeared in 2005’s Xbox 360 launch game Perfect Dark Zero).
Perfect Dark Remake Gameplay Trailer Released
The trailer takes Joanna to Cairo, where she’ll need to use her secret agent smarts to take on shady hyper-corporations. Agent Dark will have a host of new gadgets at his disposal, as well as acrobatic Mirror’s Edge-style parkour traversal skills and formidable weaponry and melee combat skills.
Set in a near-future world affected by a phenomenon known as ‘The Cascade’, Perfect Dark sees Joanna (voiced by Alix Regan, who is compared to Elissa Bibaud) working for dataDyne. In the trailer, Joanna tracks down Daniel Carrington, who will play a major role in the play.
The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S and will be available via Xbox Game Pass on day one. However, no one can predict when this first day will occur. There is no release window yet.
