They were colleagues at TV4 for many years.
But there is one moment that got really stiff between Peppe Eng and Peter Jihde.
When an unexpected taunt suddenly appeared on live broadcast.
They are two of Swedish television sports’ most talked about profiles. Pepe Eng is to many “Mr TV4” and was for many years a highly valued presenter during the sports broadcasts.

While Peter Jihde was the young upstart who started as a TV reporter and then would take over as a presenter in TV4 as well. Today, Eng is a retired pensioner, while Jihde has left the TV channel and now works for Viaplay.

For many years they were colleagues at TV4 and there is an unforgettable moment that became really stiff between the duo. It is during the classic TV program “Tipslördag” that a young Jihde surprises both viewers and colleagues with a completely new hairstyle.
– Drive as hard as you can, all the way from Gothenburg to Stockholm. Peppe and Billy are there, go ahead!, says Peter and hands over to the studio.
“A lampshade”
Then Peppe Eng and the assistant sitter answer Billy Lansdowne in the most unexpected way with a clear taunt live, watch the video below.
– Thanks for that, Peter Jihde. But what is that on his head, Billy?, says Peppe.
– I don’t know actually, it looks like some sort of lampshade, Lansdowne replies.
– Yes, or some kind of Easter costume. Ah, it looks nice, says Pepe again.

The old classic video has received new attention today, via the Instagram account “Zero percent boring” which posted it again on social media, see the clip below.
“Not unlike Jim Carrey in Dum Dummare,” writes a user on Instagram.
“Know that there was a conversation in the 90s with Peter Jihde. He had a new haircut every week,” writes another.
“That hairstyle is in again, isn’t it? I think all the hipster girls on Södermalm look like that,” writes a third.
