Now the longtime TV4 presenter remembers his late colleague and comrade with warmth.
– He was a friend of friends, says Peppe Eng to SportExpressen.
– We had a lot of fun together when we were working, but also afterwards. I have visited him after the TV job when he sat there in Hällevik and got nowhere and felt very bad about it. He liked to be out among people and talk. It was a heavy blow to him.

Peppe’s tribute

Towards the end of his life, Peter Antoine was confined to a wheelchair after having to have his right leg amputated. Eng admits that Peter had a hard time in everyday life, but he often kept his problems to himself.
– He wasn’t feeling very well, I don’t know how he was at home, but it took a toll on him that he couldn’t go out like before. He used to watch Mjällby’s home games and sat in the stands and had opinions about everything and everyone. He couldn’t do that in the end and it hurt him. He didn’t tell everything and kept a good face, but I understand that it hasn’t been that easy, Peppe says in the interview.

Peppe Eng will always remember his friend and what an impression Peter Antoine made on the television screen.
– He was very burdus in his appearance. He could come across as a mean bastard but he wasn’t. It didn’t always come across, but he had a good heart, he tells the evening newspaper.
– It was probably a few years ago, but we spoke on the phone sometimes. He was very happy when people called him on his birthday.
