During Saturday evening around 19:30, a motorist drove off the road on road 805 between Paiekuoika and Kvikkjokk at the height of Tjåmotis.
The motorist, who is in his 20s, was taken by ambulance helicopter to Gällivare hospital. There he is now being treated in the intensive care unit after being assessed as having serious injuries.
