When asked whether the US administration’s approval of the sale of F-16s to Turkey and the plan to sell F-35 aircraft to Greece were related, Ryder noted that these issues are independent of each other and that the US has relations with both countries.

Reminding that some members of Congress objected to the sale of F-16s to Turkey, Ryder was asked whether the Pentagon advised Congress on this issue, and said, “This is something for Congress to decide.
