Pensions INPS no active participation in the reform proposals

(Finance) – TheINPS with a note he clarified that he was not directly involved in reform proposals from the pensions. The clarification came after some journalistic reconstructions which hypothesized an active participation of INPS in the decision-making process. INPS defined what was reported in the press as “unfounded”.

“INPS has always been committed to the collection, systematization and sharing of data relating to the relevant subjects, to offer the country a fundamental overview of the demographic, sociological and economic dynamics – we read in the note -. The data collected can represent a resource for the development of political and administrative choices, but it is not the Institute’s tasks to make proposals to the legislator on the matter welfare“.

“The XXII Annual Report of the INPS, presented to the Chamber of Deputies on 13 September, is a document that provides a overview from the performance provided and the impact of these performances on the dynamics detected in our country”, underlined the Institute. “This report highlights, among other things, the strong liveliness of the job market, post-COVID recovery and the effectiveness of de-contribution policies. At the same time, it highlights structural challenges at a social and territorial level, challenges that have been addressed thanks to the solid network of the Italian Welfare State, of which INPS has been one of the guarantors for 125 years”.

“The INPS commitment is and will always remain that of guaranteeing the protection of citizens’ rights and the sustainability of system social security Italian, respecting institutional skills and roles”, he concluded.
