Gröna Lund is looking for summer workers – and not just any summer workers. At the amusement park website Gröna Lund writes that they are looking for someone “who is a little older than young!”

Even Kolmården thinks along the same lines. In a job advertisement, the park writes the following: “Age is not just a number – it’s an advantage!” The same job advertisement is titled “Wanted: Panthers and silver foxes”.
In an interview with Amelia says Anja Ringdahl, acting head of Parks and resorts Scandinavia, that there are many who have applied. Both Gröna Lund and Kolmården are part of Parks and resorts Scandinavia.
– For the entire group, we have so far received 600 applications from candidates who are 55 or older. It is relatively even between our four parks, about 150 applications per park, she tells the newspaper.

Gröna Lund writes that they hope for a diverse workforce that represents society at large. Therefore, they are looking for summer workers who “are younger than 120 years but older than 16 years”. Everyone is welcome to apply for any job, according to the website. Among other things, there are jobs such as attraction driver, cook and entrance host.
In 2023, the oldest person working at Parks and resorts Scandinavia was 84 years old. According to Ringdahl, this was not a problem, and in the interview she says that it is something completely different that determines whether you get the job or not.
